What would it take for iOS users to lose confidence in the App Store? Applications that ignore user permissions and do whatever they want on an iPhone? Collecting and uploading personal information without permission? Would that be enough? Apple dodged a bullet last week as both of those incidents happened, with little public acrimony. But hard-won confidence can be easily lost.
